En este post os voy a intentar contar mi experiencia sobre una de las actividades más auténticas de Dubai: Irse de Brunch.
Cuando te vas de Brunch en Dubai, vas a pasártelo increíble comiendo una gran variedad de deliciosa comida, ya sea en buffet o a la carta, y además podrás beber ilimitadamente durante las 3/4 horas del brunch. Y es que cuando te vas de brunch en Dubai…sabes cuando empiezas, pero nunca sabes como acabará!
Este concepto, no tiene nada que ver con el concepto de «hacer» un brunch de Europa. Yo probé brunchs en Barcelona, Alicante y Suiza y en todos ellos, la idea era la misma. Se basan en comer un «desayuno tardío» que substituye a la comida, pero no se relaciona para nada con comida ilimitada, música y fiesta.
Recuerdo que en Barcelona probé varios como el de Meatpacking (Eixample Esquerre), Brunch & Cake (Barri Gótic) y el de Trópico (Raval). Sin duda mi favorito fue Trópico, así que os lo recomiendo 100% para aquellos que vivís en esta increíble ciudad que adoro y echo mucho de menos!
Centrándome más en Dubai, os comento que hay diferentes tipos de brunch, los voy a mencionar por orden de mejor a peor y daré mi opinión breve sobre ellos:

In this post I am gonna explain my experience about one of the most authentic activities in Dubai: Going for a Brunch.
When you go for a brunch in Dubai, you know you are going to enjoy tremendously with a huge variety of delicious food, either a la carte or buffet, while having the opportunity to drink unlimitedly during the 3/4 hours of brunch. When you go brunching in Dubai…you know when it starts, but never when it ends!
This concept of brunch, has nothing to do with the one of Europe. I had the opportunity to brunch in Barcelona, Alicante and Switzerland and there, the idea was the same. Those are more of a «late breakfast» that will substitute the lunch, but in these places, they don’t relate the brunch with unlimited food, music and party at all!
I remember that in Barcelona, I tried the ones in Meatpacking (Eixample Esquerre), Brunch & Cake (Barri Gótic) and Trópico (Raval). No doubts, my favorite was Trópico, so I recommend it 100% for those of you that live in this amazing city that I love and miss so much!
Focusing in Dubai, there are different kind of brunches, I am going to mention them by order from best to worst and I will briefly give my opinion about them:
WORK HARD, PLAY HARD
Me refiero así a los brunches que están pensados para comer y beber mucho, que ponen música cañera y te dejan con las ganas de irte de fiesta nada más acabar, sobre las 16hrs.
With this I mean those brunches that are designed so as to eat and drink solo much, they put loud music and they leave you with the mood of partying when finish, around 16hrs.
1. ** MI FAVORITO: GARDEN, JW Marriott Marquis
Este super brunch es que lo tiene todo!
Garden es un restaurante peruano. Sin embargo, para el brunch del viernes, ofrecen tanto exquisita comida peruana, como italiana, árabe, americana, deliciosos postres franceses de «La Farine» (situado en el mismo hotel).
TOQUE ESPECIAL: Además, en este brunch abren la cocina de manera que el recorrido del buffet te adentra entre los fogones, te acompaña por las innumerables estaciones de cocteles, te enseña como cocinan al momento tu steak o pasta favorita, y te preparan algún dulce como helados, crepes o gofres a tu gusto
No le puedo poner ni un pero, he ido 2 veces a este superbrunch y es que es inigualable!
This super brunch has everything you might ask for! Garden is a Peruvian restaurant. However, for Friday´s brunch, they offer delicious Peruvian, Italian, Arabic and American food, as well as super tasty French desserts that come directly from «La Farine» (located at the same hotel). 
SPECIAL TOUCH: Furthermore, in this brunch the kitchen remains open in a way so that the way of the buffet leads you through the stoves, the numerous cocktails stations, and it shows you how they cook for you a steak or your favorite pasta dish, they also prepare for you the best dessert such as ice-creams, crepes or waffles.
I cannot say anything negative about this great event, I have gone twice to this perfect brunch and I can just say it is one of a kind!
2. WAREHOUSE, Le Meridien Dubai
Este brunch es ideal si lo que quieres es tener la fiesta asegurada. La comida esta bastante rica, sobretodo los postres, y tiene la particularidad de ofrecer mesas afuera, en un ambiente de terraza que recuerda a los jardines europeos.
Tambíen sirven en buffet y el servicio es bastante bueno, pero sin duda lo mejor de este brunch es que a diferencia de la mayoría, cuando el servicio de comida acaba (sobre las 16hrs)…
TOQUE ESPECIAL:empieza la verdadera fiesta en el piso de arriba! Y es que ahí hay un club al que todo el mundo va de «afterbrunch» y que sin duda es la mejor idea y el mejor afterbrunch al que he ido en Dubai! Probadlo si podéis!
This brunch is ideal if you what you want is to have the party insured. The food is quite good, especially the desserts, and has the particularity of offering tables outside, in a terrace that remind the European gardens style.
They also serve buffet food and the service is pretty good, but definitely the best thing about this brunch is…
SPECIAL TOUCH: that unlike most, when the food service runs out (about 4pm), the real party starts on the top floor! There is a club there that everyone goes «afterbrunch» and that is certainly the best idea and the best afterbrunch I’ve been to in Dubai! Try it if you can!
3. CASA DE TAPAS/CIELO
Este brunch me trae buenísimos recuerdos pues, como muchos recordaréis, ahí es donde celebré mi 23 cumpleaños. Sin embargo, siendo sincera, la comida es muy normal, la española bastante regular, y la internacional situada en Cielo, mejor.
Lo bueno de este brunch es sin duda el buen ambiente durante toda la comida en la planta de arriba, Cielo. También el afterbrunch se anima bastante, ponen música buena, y está divertido hasta las 19hrs más o menos.
TOQUE ESPECIAL: Otro punto muy positivo de sentarse en Cielo en lugar de Casa de Tapas es que ahí las vistas son increíbles, y es al aire libre! A todos los españoles de Dubai, tenéis que probarlo!
This brunch brings me great memories since, as many of you might remember, that’s where I celebrated my 23rd birthday. However, being honest, the food is average, the Spanish dishes are fairly regular, and the international stations located in Cielo is a bit better
The good thing about this brunch is definitely the good atmosphere throughout the meal on the top floor, Cielo. Also the afterbrunch is quite lively, they put good music, and it’s fun until around 7pm.
SPECIAL TOUCH: Another very positive point of sitting at Cielo instead of Casa de Tapas is that there the views are amazing, and it is outdoors! To all the Spaniards of Dubai, you have to try it
4. THE DECK, W Hotel
Este brunch está bien porque la comida está rica, y los postres son bastante impresionantes.
TOQUE ESPECIAL: También es diferente pues durante la comida hay músicos que animan bastante.
Sin embargo cuando yo fui, tuvimos la mala pata de que no salió buen día, así que lo mejor de este brunch, que es el estar fuera al lado de la piscina, no lo pudimos disfrutar. En lugar de ello, nos pusieron dentro. Está claro que lo que más importa siempre es la buena compañía, y además era el cumpleaños de una muy buena amiga, así que por eso me gustó igualmente! Pero me queda pendiente repetirlo otro día para poder experimentarlo al 100%
This brunch is nice because the food is good, and the desserts are quite impressive.
SPECIAL TOUCH: It is also different because during the meal there are musicians that animate the place.
However when I went, we had the bad luck that it did not turn out good day. This meant that we could not enjoy the best thing about this brunch, which is the sitting out next to the pool. Instead, they put us in.
It is clear that what matters most is good company, and it was also the birthday of a very good friend, so that’s why I liked it! But I have to repeat another day to be able to experience it at its best!
CHILLAX
Me refiero a los brunch relajados, en los que lo que importa es disfrutar de una gran variedad de comida a buen precio más que acabar con ganas de salir de fiesta.
With this I mean a relaxed brunch, in which what matters is to enjoy a great variety of food at a good price rather than necessarily ending up wanting to party.
1. PALM GRILL, The Ritz-Carlton JBR
Este brunch es suuuper chill, está situado a 10metro de la playa, es un brunch al que puedes ir en chanclas o incluso descalzo, pues tienes la arena bajo tus pies en la mesa!
Mi experiencia en este brunch de los sábados fue buenísima, la comida es super buena; entrantes super frescos y barbacoa con carne de primerísima calidad, postres deliciosos y helados.
TOQUE ESPECIAL: Es un ambiente muy familiar, que te deja con ganas de playa, y con una super cantante que me encanta y termina de crear una atmósfera perfecta para disfrutar y relajarte en tu día libre. Os lo recomiendo 100%!
This brunch is suuuper chill, located 10 meters from the beach, it’s a brunch you can go in flip flops or even barefoot, as you have the sand under your feet at the dining table!
My experience at this Saturday brunch was terrific, the food is super good; Fresh entrees and barbecue with top quality meat, delicious desserts and ice cream.
SPECIAL TOUCH: It is a very familiar atmosphere, that leaves you with a desire to go to the beach, and with a super singer that I love and gives the ideal last touch for creating a perfect atmosphere to enjoy and relax in your day off. I recommend it 100%!
2. LA CALA
Este brunch es también muy relajado, está alejado de todo, incluso de Dubai. Es un restaurante pequeño, al exterior, y ofrece un brunch a la carta. 
TOQUE ESPECIAL: Todo lo que pedimos estaba increíble, pero sin duda lo que más me gustó fue que realmente era un sitio mágico en el que te podías queda toda la tarde si quisieras, además el precio no era nada caro!
This brunch is also very chilled, away from absolutely everything, even from Dubai. It is a small restaurant, outdoors, and offers an à la carte brunch.
SPECIAL TOUCH: Everything we ordered was amazing, but what I really liked was that it was really a magical place where you could stay all afternoon if you wanted, plus the price was not expensive at all!
3. TRIBECA, Ocean View Hotel
TOQUE ESPECIAL: Me encantó este brunch para ir con un grupo pequeño de amigos y disfrutar de comida healthy y orgánica!! Es el único brunch que he visto que se especialice en esto, y me parece buenísima idea y especial, a parte de ideal para los que hacen detox ( como yo de vez en cuando 😉
Una cosa diferente de este brunch es que, ad inferencia de todos los anteriores, en este el plato principal no es buffet, si no que lo escoges a la carta sobre 8 opciones. En nuestro grupo, todos quedamos más que satisfechos con la comida, y pensamos que casi era mejor pedir sobre el menú, ya que la calidad era mayor que en otros muchos, y tampoco te llenas como para explotar!
También en éste hay una cantante, bastante chill, que anima el ambiente.
SPECIAL TOUCH: I loved this brunch to go with a small group of friends and enjoy healthy and organic food !! It’s the only brunch I’ve ever seen that specializes in this, and it seems to me like a great idea and special, apart from being ideal for those who make detox (like me every now and then ;).
A different thing to this brunch is that, inference from all of the above, in this the main dish is not buffet, but rather you choose a la carte from about 8 choices. In our group, we were all more than satisfied with the food, and thought it was almost better to order on the menu, as the quality was higher than in many others, and this way also you do not fill up like about to explode!
Also in this one there is a singer, quite chill, that animates the atmosphere.
4. CARAVAN,The Ritz-Carlton JBR
TOQUE ESPECIAL: Mi experiencia en este brunch fue muy buena porque es un brunch de calidad excelente en la comida.
También está animado por una cantante, bastante clásica y elegante.
Sin embargo, la razón por la que lo califico como el tercero es simplemente porque esta orientado y es ideal para familias y gente más mayor, para gente joven está bien por el buffet que es riquísimo, pero en mi opinión y para lo que a mi me gusta, no es mi estilo favorito de brunch!
SPECIAL TOUCH: My experience at this brunch was very good because it is an excellent quality brunch regarding the food.
It is also animated by a singer, quite classic and elegant.
However, the reason I rate it as the third is simply because is targeted and is ideal for families and older people, for young people it is fine for the buffet which is scrumptious, but in my opinion and for what I I like it, not my favorite brunch style!

CAFÉ BELGE, The Ritz-Carlton DIFC
A este brunch le tengo mucho cariño porque fue el primero al que fui. Me encantó por la super calidad de comida, es a la carta también pero te llenas muchísimo, especialmente si sois pocos, ya que te traen básicamente todo el menú, y terminas para reventar!
Además sirven Proseco, a parte de cocteles, por lo que hay que ser bien cuidadoso de no pasarse, o te arriesgas a quedarte toda la tarde con dolor de cabeza!
Como decía, el brunch es muy rico, completo, abundante, ofrecen ostras abiertas al momento por expertas, vienen a tu mesa a cortarte el steak…etc
TOQUE ESPECIAL: Además me encanta el lugar, da a un patio interior del hotel desde el que quedas rodeado por inmensos rascacielos del Distrito Financiero… a mí me transportó directamente a mis recuerdos de Nueva York!
Sin duda, si podeís, tenéis que probarlo
I’m very fond of this brunch because it was the first I went to. I loved it for the super quality of food, it is a la carte too but you get end up really full, especially if you are few, since they basically bring the whole menu, and end up too filled up!
They also serve Proseco, other than cocktails, so be careful not to overdo it, or you risk staying all afternoon with a horrible headache!
As I said, the brunch is very rich, full, plentiful, they offer oysters open at the moment by experts, come to your table to cut your steak … etc besides
SPECIAL TOUCH: I love the place, it gives to an inner courtyard of the hotel from which you are surrounded by huge skyscrapers of the Financial District … it transported me directly to my memories of New York!
No doubt, if you can, you have to try it
NO HAY MAS (???)
Pues desgraciadamente, aún me quedan muchos más por probar. Como ya os decía al principio..en Dubai hay muchísimos, por lo que no hay necesidad de repetir! Os comento los que tengo en mente de probar tan pronto como acabe Ramadan:
- Bubbilicious: el brunch más grande de Dubai (3 restaurantes)
- Blue Marlin: dicen que la fiesta es increíble!
- Mc Gettigans: de esos relajados, estilo irlandes!
- Safron: Otro gourmet del que solo he oido hablar bien!

Well, unfortunately, I still have many more to prove. As I said at the beginning … in Dubai there are many, so there is no need to repeat! I tell you what I have in mind to try as soon as Ramadan finishes:
- Bubbilicious: Dubai’s biggest brunch (3 restaurants)
- Blue Marlin: They say the party is amazing!
- Mc Gettigans: from those laid back, Irish style!
- Safron: Another gourmet I’ve only heard of!
